Canadian Softball is a fictional emo band created by Jarrod Alonge from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The band was first featured on Alonge’s debut comedy album Beating A Dead Horse in 2015, in which “The Distance Between You And Me Is Longer Than The Title Of This Song” and “Brevé Canzoné” were featured on.

In March 2017, Alonge released “Fund Me”, a promotion for the band’s Indiegogo project that directly parodied Hotel Books. The Indiegogo project was successful, resulting in the release of the band’s full length album Awkward & Depressed being released in July 2017. The album feature Hotel Books and included a Sunny Day Real Estate cover.
