Callisto is an atmospheric sludge metal/post-metal/post-rock group from Turku, Finland. While their early releases had a harsher, slower, more sludge-based sound, their sound changed with the release of their 2009 album, Providence. Gone were much of the screamed vocals and harsher sounds, replaced by ethereal clean singing and more ambient music closer to the post-rock genre than post-metal.
