About Caleb Gordon

Caleb Gordon (b. April 13th, 2000) is a Christian hip-hop artist from Ocoee, Florida.

Though Gordon had an obvious affinity for rapping since childhood, he didn’t pursue a serious career in the music industry until his late teenage years. He did so initially taking a secular route, under the aliases “Cash G” and later, “YTM Cash” but this plan was short-lived. Gordon’s world took an optimistic turn, result of his decision to become a Christian after graduating High School. He made his first unreleased gospel song with close friend and fellow Christian artist, Kenny Rivers in late 2018 yet didn’t begin sharing his new sound publicly until 2019.

Gordon officially began his career by releasing singles, with the exception of some collaborations with Kenny Rivers. Starting July of 2020, Gordon committed himself to dropping a song every Sunday using the tagline, “Wavy Sundays” and remained persistent. To wrap up the year 2020, he dropped his debut Christmas album, titled Christmas in Eden. Picking up from the previous year, Gordon refused to let up on his “Wavy Sundays” resolve all 2021. From this resolve came fan favorites like “West Orlando Flow” and “Quick”, which successfully drew a lot of new traction to his music early in the come-up. He divided many of these “Wavy Sunday” singles and few collaborative efforts into three separate albums, called Before The Garden: Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3, releasing them about days before he was publicly endorsed by Rapzilla. During the same year, Gordon was also recognized for dropping hit Christian interpolations of famed songs like SpotEmGottem’s “Beat Box” and Polo G’s “RAPSTAR”. Between October and November, Gordon and Hulvey, member of Reach Records' 116 Clique shared with the world their dynamic collaboration on soundtracks, “Holy Spirit Activate” and “Let Go of Me” from Hulvey’s 2021 album, entitled COMA. December of 2021, Gordon released his second holiday album, Christmas in Eden Vol. 2: Winter Wonderland, containing features from reputable Christian artists, TJ Caroll, GodFearin, Scootie Wop, Battz, Ki Alexis, Kenny Rivers, Mike Teezy, and Jekasole.

Many fans are familiar with Gordon’s repeated slogan and brand, “Eden”, which takes cue from teachings of late Bahamian evangelist, Myles Munroe. He stated in an exclusive interview with He’s The Pastor I’m The Rapper Podcast:

The song, Accountable, it talks about, “Eden is not a place, it’s an environment”, so I like to put that in everything. And it’s like, yo, Eden is not a place, it’s wherever God is. God is everywhere, so that means Eden is everywhere. So, that’s really what I’m pushin'. It’s just like, yo, you can be in the presence of God wherever you at.
