About C418

Daniel Rosenfeld, known professionally as C418, is an independent electronica instrumental composer from Germany. He is working full-time on his music which he releases mainly on his Bandcamp webpage.

His big break was when he collaborated with Markus “Notch” Persson in making the soundtrack for the famous video game Minecraft, in which his material was released in the album Minecraft – Volume Alpha, and was followed-up by the album Minecraft – Volume Beta, to both of which Daniel owns all rights. He was originally going to compose the soundtrack of the video games Circle and 0x10c, which was going to be the follow-up to Minecraft, before they were both scrapped.

C418 occasionally collaborates with other indie music makers, such as deadmau5 and Disasterpeace.
