Carlo Ferrer Santos, known as C-Tru, is a Filipino-American hip hop recording artist, singer and songwriter from California.

C-Tru first gained major attention when he was crowned grand winner by Grammy-winning U.S. rap star Chamillionaire, in the 2007 National Energizer Freestylin' Music Contest. In 2008 he joined forces with Europe record label ‘One Hustle Records’ with founder/producer Swissivory. They achieved commercial success in the Euro music scene resulting in radio play at major NRJ Group radio stations and bookings throughout Europe. An established performer, C-Tru completed three successful tours in Europe (2010, 2011, 2015) headlining venues in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. At the same time, he continued to establish himself as a force in hiphop collaborating with N.Y. rapper and Love & HipHop star Papoose on the underground favorite “How We Roll”(2014), garnering massive college radio play throughout the U.S.

In 2016, he exploded into the entertainment markets in Asia with the #1 charting album in the Philippines ‘Chasing the Light’ with multi-platinum pop idol Julie Anne San Jose (Jul. 2016). Co-writing 3 songs on the album he is also the featured rap artist on the singles “Don’t Make Me Wait” and “Take Me To Nirvana”. He then scored another chart topping #1 album internationally with his work on the newest record of Philippine’s superstar Alden Richards as a co-writer and featured artist on the title track “Say It Again”. With a growing reputation as the go-to person for high profile projects, in 2017 he collaborated with multiplatinum album selling rapper DMX on the buzzworthy track “The Dog in Me”. The legendary icon’s comeback coincides with the come up of new hip- hop artist C-Tru.
