About C. Robin

C. Robin is an 18 year old rapper/singer/producer from Michigan. He started out as a producer, releasing type-instrumentals on YouTube and dropping instrumental projects on Bandcamp.

In 2015, he began promoting his upcoming first mixtape as a rapper, Goofy Tunes, and he soon became popular on the internet hip-hop forum KanyeToThe. After many delays, he dropped Goofy Tunes in 2016, and it was met with praise. Eric The Young Gawd aka YoungNastyShawty was the sole feature on the tape, and C. Robin produced all the beats himself, with some co-production on “Dirty Lemonade” from TheBeatBully. C. Robin later removed some songs from the tracklist on SoundCloud for unknown reasons.

Later in 2016, when C. Robin was 17 years old, he, Yung NATO, and Young Gawd dropped a mixtape together, called 17 Club, which featured a remix of “17” from Goofy Tunes and three other new songs produced by C. Robin, but only featuring his vocals on the hooks.

Soon after, C. Robin announced his second mixtape, Order 66. This tape was also delayed many times, and it was even scrapped and completely remade after C. Robin found some inspiration simping over some girl at the time. When Order 66 finally dropped in the summer of 2017, also self-produced, to many’s surprise, it leaned more towards pop than rap. Shortly after its SoundCloud release, C. Robin placed an EP of a few remastered songs from the tape on iTunes, but he later deleted it and kept only “Baby Girl 100” as a single on streaming services. A few months after the initial release, C. Robin also edited the tracklist to the tape, removing some songs but adding another. He then announced that Goofy Tunes 2 was on the way.

In late December 2017, C. Robin dropped an EP titled Pillmatic under the name “Lil Alvin” on SoundCloud. This was his first solo tape to feature songs he didn’t produce himself. A couple weeks later, shortly after New Years 2018, he dropped two more EPs, Songs I Made When I Was #Down, which was made between Order 66 and Pillmatic when he and his ex broke up, and OG Order 66 (Post Goofy Tunes), which was what Order 66 would’ve sounded like had he not been simping so hard. He later deleted Songs I Made When I Was #Down from his SoundCloud and edited the tracklist to Pillmatic.
