Bunny Blake is a public figure. Most people know her as a singer, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Ask her when she started singing and she’ll tell you, “since before I can remember”. Bunny grew up surrounded by music. With a guitar player for a father and opera singer for an aunt, it’s not surprising that Bunny Blake would carry on the family legacy.

Bunny was 12 when she started writing her own music. Since then, she’s been on a journey to discover her unique style. One article published by 303 Magazine stated, “[Bunny] wanted to be a singer after listening to Destiny’s Child, to be a guitar player after listening to James Taylor and to be a rocker after listening to Tool”. This eclectic taste in music shaped the next decade for Bunny Blake.

By October 2019, Bunny was on a mission to create something that honored her variety of musical interests. That mission brought her to London. There, Bunny worked with Will Simms (Pussycat Dolls / The Vamps), Kelly Rutledge, and Bhavik Pattani who would push her into the creative stratosphere writing/recording/producing an albums worth of music in just two weeks.

Come hell, high water, or COVID-19 Bunny Blake is releasing what she considers to be the best music of her career. “VIP Death Squad” is just the first of many. The unlikely timing of its release (just before Corona Virus hit the United States on April 3rd) only highlighted the sentiment of a song all about the motives of the powerful and the great equalizer: death.

VIP Death Squad is “able to continually innovate and impress in an era where a considerable majority of pop efforts fall flat for one reason or another.” according to NeuFutur Magazine. Additionally, the single has an unusually broad appeal for a song with such depth. From dance challenges, to makeup videos, from the US to Poland, VIP Death Squad is catching fire on TikTok with over 200 fan videos.

Taking her momentum in stride, Bunny Blake plans to release more singles and an EP in early 2021 featuring pop music with an edge that is uniquely hers.
