Broken Social Scene is an Canadian indie rock band founded by songwriter Kevin Drew and musician Brendan Canning.
The duo debuted with the ambient Feel Good Lost. During their efforts to create a livelier tour performances, they recruited a variety of friends from the Toronto Indie scene. With this collected group of musicians, they recorded their seminal record You Forgot It In People, resulting in the iconic baroque/indie style they’re now known for. The album is home to their most popular hit, “Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl”.
