Brenda Mensah, (born November 18, 1992) known professionally as Bree Runway, is a London based singer, songwriter, and rapper born and raised in Hackney, East London.
Bree self-released her first EP, RNWY 01, on November 28, 2015. A year later, she put out an EP titled Bouji on May 9, 2016. Both EPs were in collaboration with Nastylgia.
She released the single “What Do I Tell My Friends?” in 2017, which garnered major attention. The music video being her first to gain over 100,000 views.
In 2019, Runway announced the release of 2ON, which was her first single under a major label, on May 20th, four days prior to the release. In August, her EP Be Runway was released through Virgin EMI. The EP was met with great critical acclaim for its visuals and unique sound.
On February 28, 2020, she announced that her new single “APESHIT” would be released March 5th. Her debut mixtape, 2000AND4EVA, was released November 6, 2020, and featured collaborations from artists including Missy Elliott, Rico Nasty, and Maliibu Miitch. After the mixtape’s release, Runway signed to iconic label Motown Records in the U.S.
