The Boogie Man is an emcee that originates from Newark, NJ. He’s been an original or founding member of many groups through the years, from Twin Hype to Three 6 Mafia and The Outsiders. His collaborations include iconic acts such as Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Redman, MJG and 8 Ball, Mike Jones and many others, eventually signing to Def Jam for a period before going independent. His signature “electronic” vocals, rapid fire delivery and horror movie inspired aesthetic made him a pioneer of the horrorcore subgenre of hiphop, but it’s been his acts of humanity and leadership within the city of Newark that caused Mayor La Case De Don Pedro to immortalize him on a mural downtown, in June 15, 2017. With over 25+ years strong in the industry, Boogieman continues to mentor and collaborate with the next generation of artists in the tri-state, with several singles dropping under the Destiny Music Group brand in collaboration with his own, Shadows of Soulz Entertainment.
