About Bonkaz

Bonkaz, real name Taylor Jordan Harris, is the next big thing. Coming from Croydon in South London with other aspiring artists like Stormzy, Section Boyz and Krept & Konan.

He brings his own style to the scene, many different flows ranging from fast (Floetry Freestyle) to slow and relaxed (LA Interlude) to wonderfully written poems (The Streets). He really is the next Mike Skinner.

In August 2015, Bonkaz released his first Extended Play, Forgive Me When I’m Famous, this featured six songs that all represented a mood of his at the time of production. He said in an interview that he wants to bring natural vocals to the scene as it’s ‘easier to relate to’ rather than the auto-tuned music you see from the major artists. This EP was followed by singles Solo/So Low, Shine with Avelino, 8310 (Nokia Nostalgia) and a collaberation with Chase & Status, Wha Gwarn?

In December 2015, Bonkaz announced on his Instagram that he’s to release a mixtape in January titled ‘Mixtape of the Year’, he later dropped a 2-minute single called ‘And Dat’ from his upcoming mixtape.

In Spring 2016, Bonkaz announced on his Instagram the sequel to his No Boys Allowed mixtape with his long-time friend, Renz and the sequel to his EP, Forgive Me When I’m Famous.
