Bongo is an American record producer and songwriter who is also one half of the production duo L&F. Born in Nigeria and growing up in Rhode Island, he began writing songs when he was 8 years old followed by creating beats on FL studio when he was 11. He also goes by the name “Bongo By The Way” as evident by his beat tag.
In 2003, he formed the production duo L&F with his cousin Christopher “C4” Umana. Producing tracks for artists like Musiq Soulchild, Trey Songz, Big Sean and Teyana Taylor, the duo parted ways in 2015 on good terms to pursue their own personal endeavours.
Since then, Bongo has become a frequent collaborator of the The Game after being involved in a large chunk of the production of his double disc album The Documentary 2. Other artists he has produced songs for include Jeremih, Snoop Dogg, Eric Bellinger and Niykee Heaton.
