Best known as being the bassist of Steve Albini’s math-rock trio Shellac, Bob Weston is an extremely prolific mastering engineer, founder of Chicago Mastering Service along with Jason Ward. Since 2007, he has cut the lacquer or provided other engineering work for almost 1000 different albums, including greats such as Nirvana’s In Utero (which Albini produced), as well as other artists such as LCD Soundsystem, Fugazi, and another Albini project, Big Black.
