Bob Hund is a Swedish cult Indie Rock group. Formed in Stockholm in 1991 by Jonas Jonasson, Mats Hellquist and Thomas Öberg.
Half a year later the group hade been broadened to six members, with Conny Nimmersjö, Johnny Essing and Mats Andersson.

They release their first studio album with record label Silence Records, “bob hund” in 1994.
Two years later they released their second studio album, “Omslag: Martin Kann”, the album cover was designed by the polarizing art director Martin Kann. He would later play a big role for the groups public image, being called the “Seventh member”.
“Omslag: Martin Kann” won the collective a Grammis (the Swedish equivalent to the American Grammy award) for songwriting.

They cite their influences being, “The Pixies”, the german electronic group “Kraftwerk” and “The Velvet Underground”.

Through a period of almost 30 years (1991 – 2020) the Swedish indie rock band has released multiple albums and EPs, and will go down as one of the most inventive indie rock collective in Swedish musical history.
