Jeffery Lamar Harris Jr. (July 14, 2002 — June 8, 2024), professionally known as Bloodhound Lil Jeff, was an American recording artist from Chicago, Illinois. He rose in popularity in the Chicago Drill scene after he claimed responsibility for two murders in his lyrics.

Lil Jeff began his music career in late 2022 with his first songs being “Bloody Family,” “Can’t Beat Us,” and “I Love My Draco,” featuring frequent collaborator Rell Vert.

In a DJUTV interview, Lil Jeff stated that he was influenced by the Chicago Drill scene:

Drill music is a main, important part to everything that go on. That shit motivation…for the trenches. We be hearing the shit [Drill rappers] be talking about. That shit make you wanna get in your car and go…[kill]. That music inspire a lot of kids, though. That shit fuck motherfuckers' heads up.

Jeff’s career began to take off after the release of his February 2024 single “Ahhh,” which blew up due to its self-incriminating lyrics. Many credit him as one of the rappers that revived the Chicago Drill scene.

On June 8, 2024, Lil Jeff was shot and killed on the South Side of Chicago following a mutual combat shootout. He was 21 years old.

A little over two weeks later, on June 26, 2024, his management posthumously released his first album Stepping In Blood, which included a remix to his song “Ahhh” alongside fellow Chicago rapper G Herbo.

On January 1, 2025, his management released his second and possibly final posthumous album Bloody Bruddas, featuring frequent collaborators Rell Vert and Bloodhound Q50. His manager, AMF Visuals, said that this will most likely be his last album, with the rest of his songs being kept for future singles or features.
