Le Moise Roosevelt Graves is credited by some as recording the first rock and roll song, a boogie woogie track called Crazy About My Baby, which contained a backbeat, 12 bar blues, was danceable, and had the requisite guitar.

Along with his brother Uaroy, Roosevelt recorded a number of boogie songs over a stretch of several years, but then disappeared from popular media, living out the rest of his 53 years in relative obscurity.
