About Black Country, New Road

Black Country, New Road is a London-based post-rock/jazz band formed in 2018, consisting of Lewis Evans (woodwinds/vocals), May Kershaw (keyboards/vocals), Charlie Wayne (drums), Luke Mark (guitar), Tyler Hyde (bass/vocals) and Georgia Ellery (violin).

Previous lead vocalist and guitarist Isaac Wood announced his departure from the band on their instagram at the end of January 2022, 4 days before the release of their second album, Ants From Up There.

Before forming BCNR, all the band members (including Wood) were part of Nervous Conditions, a group that formed in 2015 and disbanded in early 2018 after the lead singer Connor Browne was accused of sexual assault.
