About Black Atlass

Originating from Montreal, Canada, Alexander Fleming—under the alias Black Atlass—creates a clash of elegant-sounding piano and vocal melodies, with large-sounding gritty synths, hip-hop–inspired drums, and R&B–themed lyrics.

His first single “Paris” was included in his self-released, six-track EP named The Black Atlass, which was published in 2012. After signing to Fool’s Gold Records, he followed up with another EP in 2014 called Young Bloods. Furthermore, Fleming dropped another self-released extended play named Jade in 2015. In 2016 he released his debut album called Haunted Paradise; this included tracks from previous works, such as “Blonde” and “Summer Time”.

After his song “Sacrifice” (featuring Jessie Reyez) was added on the OST for Fifty Shades Freed, he proceeded with releasing “My Life” and “Pain & Pleasure”. The tracks maintain his sultry but shadowy, alternative R&B style, with experimental hints of trap and hip-hop.
