Adio Marchant, known professionally as Bipolar Sunshine, is a singer from Manchester, England. He combines elements of pop, R&B, and dance to create his own unique sound.
When asked about his alias on an interview with The Wave, he replied:
I try to let the music kind of show what the actual name is about, but mainly it was just to try and be able to write as extremely as I wanted to, but without feeling restricted by anything. Adding the sunshine at the end is just my way of saying that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Previously the co-vocalist of the ska band Kid British, he embarked on a solo career in 2013. Releasing his debut EP, Aesthetics, which he quickly followed with the Drowning Butterflies EP in November of 2013. Throughout his early career, Marchant would self-release his music, but in 2014 he signed to Polydor. In the interim, Marchant appeared as guest vocalist on numerous dance productions, including Lane 8’s “I Got What You Need” and the notorious DJ Snake track “Middle”.
