Billy Vaughn, born Richard Smith Vaughn, was an American singer, multi-instrumentalist, orchestra leader.
He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky. At the age of 3, Vaughn learnt to play the mandolin as inspired by his father, a barber with a love of music.
