William Larry “Billy” Stewart II (1937-1970) was a scat singer who flourished in the 1960s. He started out as a pianist for Bo Diddley who signed onto Chess Records in 1955. He was nicknamed “Fat Boy” (and later released a song by that title) for his weight and “The Mouth” for his ability to produce all manner of vocal effects. He was killed in a car accident.
