American-Canadian Billy Newton-Davis (born April 26th, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, of 81 years) is a gospel and R&B singer and songwriter. He began producing music in 1981 with the release of his single “Romance”. By 1986 he had released his debut album, Love Is A Contact Sport. However, he was also an active member of The Nylons throughout the 1990s, subsequently joining the group in 1991 but then leaving in 1994. In 2020, at the age of 79, he released his first EP, Have We Met?, containing his renditions of famous and notable tracks written by other songwriters particularly active in the 20th century, such as Bill Withers.
