Earl Benjamin (born October 13, 1991) known professionally as Ben J is an American rapper and a member of the Hip-Hop duo, New Boyz.
Ben did not have plans to pursue a musical career, instead, he intended to play football at San Diego State University. However, Ben decided to focus more on music after he discovered that he had a passion for rapping. With the help of his friend Dom Dolo (also known as Legacy), the two created the New Boyz duo.
Ben is known for songs such as “FM$ (Freak My Shit)” and “You’re a Jerk”. After the duo had split in 2013, Ben decided to pursue a solo career, releasing a slew of mixtapes and singles on his SoundCloud page.
