About Bear’s Den

Formed in 2012, Bear’s Den is a British, folk-inspired alternative rock band from London. The duo have successfully built a dedicated fanbase through their live performances and DIY ethos – early tours were self-funded, and their first EP was self-released with a hand printed bear’s paw stamped on the sleeve.

The debut studio album, Islands, was released on 20 October 2014, from which the song “Above the Clouds of Pompeii” was nominated for an Ivor Novello award for ”Best Song Musically and Lyrically". A second studio album was released on 22 July 2016, titled Red Earth & Pouring Rain.

Bear’s Den consists of two members, Andrew Davie (lead vocals, guitar) and Kevin Jones (vocals, drums, bass, guitar). Former member Joey Haynes (vocals, banjo, guitar) left the band in February 2016.
