Battle Tapes is an electronic rock band from Los Angeles, California, that was formed in 2010. The band began releasing music in 2011 and has since garnered hundreds-of-thousands of listeners. They have collaborated with multiple artists, such as Party Nails and Sunset Neon.
The band released their debut EP, Sleepwalker, in mid-2011. The EP consisted of “Sleepwalker,” “Sleepwalker Pt. II,” and a multitude of remixes of said songs.
In early-2012, BT’s second EP, Entitled Sweatshop Boys, was released. One of the EP’s tracks, “Sweatshop Boys,” was featured in the soundtrack for the video game, Grand Theft Auto V. This appearance earned the band a sizable amount of new listeners.
In late-2015, BT released their debut album, Polygon. This cut includes some of the band’s most popular tracks to date, such as “Belgrade” and “Valkyrie.”
In early-2016, Solid Gold EP, a collaboration with pop artist, Party Nails, debuted. It contains several remixes of “Solid Gold,” a track previously released on Polygon.
BT’s most prominent EP, Form, released in mid-2017. It featured the song “Last Resort & Spa,” the band’s most popular song on Spotify and the second most popular on YouTube.
