Byun Baek Hyun (변백현) professionally known as Baekhyun (백현) is a South Korean singer and member of the K-Pop boy group EXO. He made his debut with the group in 2012. In 2016, Baekhyun debuted in the group’s first sub-unit EXO-CBX. In 2019, Baekhyun also debuted as a member of SM Entertainment’s supergroup, SuperM.
Apart from his role in the group and the subunit, Baekhyun has released solo material as well. He collaborated with South Korean singer, Suzy on a track titled, “Dream” which topped the Korean charts and won Best Collaboration at the 18th Mnet Asian Music Awards and Best R&B Song at the 8th Melon Music Awards. He has also collaborated with singers, Soyou, Loco, and K.Will at different occasions.
In 2019, Baekhyun became the 3rd EXO member to release a solo EP, by releasing City Lights in July. In 2020, Baekhyun released his second mini album, Delight, supported by the lead single, “Candy.” In 2021, Baekhyun released his debut Japanese single, “Get You Alone” followed by his Japanese self-titled debut mini-album a few weeks later, on January 20th. The same year, Baekhyun released his third Korean solo album Bambi which became his second album to sell a million copies.
