a south-asian immigrant with roots in both pakistan and germany, only to later settle in the greater toronto area of canada, ayz conjures a blend of hip hop, trap, electro-pop, world, alternative and film score influences, all coming together for a rather smooth landing in memorable sonic ear candy via dark pop songs with minimalist production wrapped around cinematic soundscapes, further empowered by lyrical themes of self belief, over-coming heartbreak and exploring a modern masculine psyche in the context of fading hollywood iconography, an idea best represented by the first chill pop style single THE GUNFIGHTER + THE WAR DOCTOR, which hit spotify’s VIRAL 50 INDIA chart.

ayz is also an indie writer/director who had a short at the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL, and has his first feature film is available in full for streaming. he’s currently working on a new original screenplay for his second film.
