AySay’s sound is based on Luna Ersahin who brings the Middle Eastern traditional music into the Western music culture. In the space inbetween an atmosphere that is colored with both danish and turkish lyrics, is created. With both classical Middle Eastern instruments such as darbuka and saz and electronic elements, they aim to erase the borders between East and West.

Luna Ersahin is born into a multi cultural family: her mother is danish, her father is kurdish/turkish. In her world growing up, it was as natural to be put to sleep with the classic danish lullaby “Solen er så rød mor” as a turkish traditional song on the instrument saz.
