Joy Olasunmibo Ogunmakin professionally known as Ayọ is a Nigerian–German singer and songwriter. Before she began her singing career, she was a rapper in the German scene.

Ayọ’s music includes a wide range of genres from jazz, soul, reggae to afrobeat. The meaning behind her stage name is that Ayo means ‘joy’ in Yoruba.
