W. Axl Rose is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and musician. He is the lead vocalist, producer and primary lyricist of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, a position he has held since its inception in 1985. In 2016, he also toured as the lead singer of AC/DC.

Due to his powerful and wide vocal range and energetic live performances, Rose has been named one of the greatest singers of all time by various media outlets, including Rolling Stone and NME. A study of popular singer vocal ranges revealed Rose as having the largest range of any singer in pop music history.
