Born in the post-9/11 era, Boston producer Aviad Poznansky (age 17) — known mononymously as Aviad — discovered his craft and style creating beats in high school. His early work featured collaborations with D.C.-hailing Dre Wave$ and Missouri rapper JamalThaDon, and garnered significant attention on “Jeanine!” alongside his collaborator Kwame Adu.
Aviad released his debut solo album, BELIEVE, on November 7, 2021, vastly broadening his horizons, exploring everything from hyperpop to drill rap with a plethora of new collaborations.
On August 8, 2022, rapper J.I.D announced “Dance Now,” the lead single of his highly anticipated second studio album, The Forever Story, which Aviad produced alongside producer Christo. This marked the first time Aviad produced with a major rapper. Though other songs such as “Jeanine!” and his instrumental piece “the best in me” surpassed one million streams on Spotify alone, “Dance Now” marked his most popular collaboration by far, surpassing 70 million streams as of September 2023. “Dance Now,” which samples a Jewish “niggun” by Zusha, reflects Aviad’s Jewish heritage and influence throughout his music.
Upon launching his own website in 2023 at undersensitized.com, Aviad began teasing releases for his third album, undersensitized, released in May of the same year, featuring his classic repertoire of collaborators, as well as his progressively expansive style on solo instrumental tracks.
The world’s eyes are upon Aviad as he ventures into the unknown on his future projects.
