Ava Sehra is British born singer and songwriter from London who is
determined to leave her stamp in the music industry. From her very
first school performance, Ava knew this was the path she wanted
to walk down. Confidence grew from the positive reaction she
received from outsiders however, this was not a complete shock to
some as music runs deep in her DNA. Her family have always had
a strong influence in ensuring she discovered her talent at a young
age and has been singing for as long as she can remember.
Ava has the perfect balance of old school feels and new school
R&B. With both a unique look and sound, she is a force to
remember. The singers debut single ‘W.D.Y.L.’ featuring Konan (of
Krept and Konan), received a phenomenal response with over
17,000 Spotify streams in one day. With a take on the chorus of
Bernard Wright’s ‘Who do you love’, there was no surprise that the
response would be a positive one. Production is vital when creating
a memorable record and with the help of Grammy nominated
producer Woah Beast (producer of the track “Classic Man” by
Jidenna), this was bound to connect with a wide audience.
The final quarter of 2019 was a positive one having resulted in just
over 100,000 Spotify streams in 8 weeks with her first single
W.D.Y.L. This lead to radio support, interviews and being selected
as track of the week on BBC Asian Network weekend breakfast
show. The ride didn’t stop there as the singer also performed on
stage at the o2 arena alongside Krept and Konan to perform a song
she featured on their ‘Revenge is sweet’ album ‘Broski’. As it stands in the first quarter of 2020, the singer/songwriter has now released her second single titled ‘Issues’. The aim was to create something relatable and empowering to listeners and with positive feedback all around, that’s another great record Ava can tick off.
Ava Sehra's first song Issues released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
