Ray Davon Jacobs (January 2, 1992 – August 28, 2023), better known as AUGUST 08 (previously August Grant), was an African-American songwriter, musician, and artist signed to Def Jam Recordings and previously, Red Bull Records and 88Rising.

Notable works by August include his collaboration with Rich Brian on “Arizona,” a track on Brian’s debut project Amen, as well as 88rising’s “Midsummer Madness.” and his work with DJ Khaled “I’m the One” prior to signing with 88rising.

He passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 31.
