ASTON was raised by the music of boss divas, powerful women known by a single name who take no prisoners. The first and final word on ASTON is her songwriting, her attitude, and her ambition.
In 2019, ASTON’s bombastic “Next Level” was picked up for placement in Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw; two years later, the song was reworked by K-pop group Aespa, and its instant popularity proves her writing’s ability to transcend language. Meanwhile, co-writes with Jordie Ireland, Ricki-Lee, and Cosmo’s Midnight have all found massive success.
But ASTON’s debut EP is where she shines brightest. “Girl Is A Gun” celebrates the overwhelming power of first attraction; “Heartbreak Club”, on the other hand, finds empowerment in lost love. Somewhere between those two feelings is “Firebomb”, a searing power ballad that’s destined to become a karaoke classic. “Middle Finger” is a headstrong anthem that anyone who’s ever wanted to give a “F— You” to life can relate to, while on “Killer Queen,” jealousy and attraction turn dark in a gender-swapped narrative of obsession.
Inspired by pop’s strongest women but brazenly forging her own path, ASTON is a pop star for a new generation — an electric writer and vocalist who lives by a punk ethos. Her talent speaks for itself — this girl is a gun.
