Four heads, rhymes in four tongues; Frankfurt am Main (Germany) natives A-Bomb, Combad, and most notably: Azazin/CODX (later: Azad) and D-Flame (later: Billy Baunz), who in the end went on to get solo careers as heavyweights in the game.
Originally called Cold-N-Loco, the Warriors nicely mirrored the Frankfurt street culture at the time: an amalgam of US-brought East Coast rap and even Raggamuffin sound.
To improve this Frankfurt representation of Turkish, East Coast and German, the crew introduced a young Kurdish rapper named CODX a.k.a. Azad, and took up the name Asiatic Warriors (representing the different Asiatic shades of Nubian, Turkic and Kurdish). Azad`s hard delivery made for a more rugged Boom Bap signiture and more distinct Turkish influences.
Label-wise the Warriors started with the label Ruff -N- Raw, and remained self-sufficient on We Dont Play Records, issuing two obscure EPs in 94 and 97, also having sporadic appearances on Vegaz Records.
