Aranda was formed by the brothers Gabe and Dameon in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 2001.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2008 with Astonish Entertainment. They hit the mainstream rock charts twice with the singles “Still in the Dark” and “Whyyawannabringmedown”.

In 2009, they were the songwriters for Kelly Clarkson’s cover of their songs “All I Ever Wanted” and “Whyyawannabringmedown."
