Canadian/Guyanese/Indian recording artist Anjulie Persaud hails from the Toronto suburb of Oakville, Ontario. Her first music video, “Boom”, earned her a 2009 MTV VMAs nomination for Breakthrough Video. The single “Brand New Bitch” went platinum in Canada, and “You and I” won the Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year in 2013.
