Angels of Light were an American folk band active from 1998 to 2009, formed by singer-songwriter and musician Michael Gira after he disbanded his previous project, Swans.
A contrast to Gira’s work in Swans, Angels of Light has roots in Americana, alternative country, folk and neofolk.
The band released 6 studio albums during its existence, one being a split album in collaboration with Akron/Family.
