A native of Nashville, Andrea Marie Truden (1943-2011) moved to New York as a teenager to break into films or music. After some years of struggling, she started performing in pornographic movies in Sweden and subsequently in America. Her break as a singer came in 1975, when she recorded “More, More, More” while stranded in Jamaica by a political crisis. After producing one of the disco era’s signature hits, her musical output became sporadic and never approached the success of her first hit.
