amukredam is a screamo/hardcore band formed amidst the chaos of Jakarta’s city life. amukredam are 4 idiots making “songs” which feature a pre-pubescent looking guy screaming non-sensical pseudo-poetic lyrical content. They devour literature and philosophical works such that by the likes of Camus, Chairil Anwar, Sutarji calzoum bachri, fernando pessoa, nietzsche, and many others as a form of “influence”, if you can call it that.

The music itself ranges from traditional forms of hardcore to a more chaotic form of screamo developed by bands such as Orchid, Ampere, Pg. 99 and the likes. amukredam are part of an emerging asian screamo scene specifically that of Indonesia’s own. Recommended if you like songs about being FOREVER ALONE, skramz, existentialist philosophy and other pretentious bullshit.
