About Ami Faku

Ami Faku (born Amanda Faku) is a South African singer from Port Elizabeth. She started singing at the age of six, and has been influenced by jazz, soul, and R&B.

Her appearances on season 2 of the The Voice South Africa—beginning with a performance of John Legend’s “Ordinary People"—introduced her to a wider South African audience. After The Voice, she adopted the more distinctive stage name Ami Faku.
