Alphabeat is a Danish pop band from Silkeborg, fronted by singers Stine Bramsen and Anders SG. In addition, Alphabeat consists of Anders B (guitar), Rasmus Nagel (keys), Anders Reinholdt (bass), and Troels Hansen (drums).
The band formed in 2004 under the name Sodastar. Their debut single “Fascination” was a major hit in Denmark during the summer of 2007 and a significant hit in the UK in 2008. Follow-up single “10,000 Nights” saw equal acclaim, and their eponymous debut album reached number two in Denmark and number ten in the UK.
Up to 2013, Alphabeat released two more albums, The Spell and Express Non-Stop, and then went on hiatus to focus on their solo careers and other side projects.
After six years of silence, the band made their comeback with “Shadows” in March 2019. It went to be the lead single of their fourth album Don’t Know What’s Cool Anymore released November 2019.
