Alessandra Mele was born on September 5, 2002, in Pietra Ligure to an Italian father (originating from Albenga) and a Norwegian mother (originating from Stathelle). She grew up in Cisano sul Neva. She started singing at an early age and won a local talent contest when she was twelve.
After graduating from high school in 2021, she moved to Norway – initially moving in with her grandparents in Porsgrunn and then settling in Lillehammer to study music production at LIMPI.
In 2022, Mele took part in the Norwegian version of The Voice where she was eliminated in the first live show. A year later she took part in Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She won the final with the song “Queen of Kings”, allowing her to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
