From underground to mainstream success, Mohammed Amine, better known by his current stage name Al AMin, is a Meknes (Morocco) based producer who has been in the business for over 13 years.
Rewind to his early days, AlAMin’s passion for music began as a youth. He grew up with an affection to music starting at a very young age. “I started making my own music at the age of 10, with simple tools and no internet at the time to help me improve myself more.” It was during this time that a young Al AMin was heavily influenced and knew he wanted to be a part of the rapidly growing Hip Hop movement that influenced many kids during this era.
He started working with Dirty Side but in 2008 unfortunately, the band split after only two years. In 2010, he crosses path and shared a bond with another talented up and coming artist from Meknes by the name of Derrty (L’Bandy), it was during this time that Al AMin finally had someone he could bounce and share ideas with musically and begin his long journey through the winding roads of the music industry. They produced a compilation that will remain in the “Yala.FM Top 50” for several weeks. However, growing up in Meknes… It’s natural to assume Hip Hop not having much of an influence in the city, considering that’s it sprawled so far away in Casablanca and more. “There is definitely a lot of Hip Hop here. You’ll find a lot of local rap groups, solo artists out here that are trying to make it, it’s just the fact that we’re not on the map like that just yet.” Having found much success working with Dizzy Dros & Shayfeen, he also produced beats to Othman H-Kayne , Si Simo, Danger, Yassine F.C.C, Prophit, The Game, Mehdi K-Libre & more . Even though he was beginning to receive early success with mainstream artist he still continued to inject underground artists with his infectious sound. Al AMin’s never ending appetite for challenging himself musically.
