Akelle Shemai Charles is a West London singer and rapper who makes up one-third of the hip-hop collective WSTRN. The group found immediate success with their debut single “In2”, which peaked at #4 on the UK Singles Chart. He is the brother of singer Angel and cousin of fellow WSTRN member Haile. On 28 July 2018, Akelle was convicted alongside his brother, Naeem, of violent disorder, receiving a four and a half year sentence of imprisonment. He was released from prison in November of 2019.

As WSTRN, Charles, Haile and Louis Rei are signed to Atlantic Records.
