Known for his exceptional lyrical ability, soca artiste Akeem Chance who goes by the sobriquet, “Preedy” is proving to be a triple threat in the world of entertainment.
The Maloney resident has shown his prowess with a pen; his talent on the ‘mic’ and if you did not know, he is also quite an accomplished dancer.
Preedy is known within the soca industry as a talented writer, penning many of the popular tracks for Machel Montano and others, his undeniable gifts in music is only rivalled by his unwavering love for his family.
Preedy caught the public’s eye in 2014 with his big hit, “Winning Champion” on the Sando Riddim.
In 2015, he did not disappoint his fans when he released the groovy tune, “Away”.
Rolling with the momentum, Preedy had an exceptional year in 2016 with the rhythmic vibes of “Drums” and his captivating performance of his popular tune, “Veteran” which got him second place at the 2016 International Soca Monarch competition.
In 2017, the “Veteran” star had quite a few songs for the season, and had also done a few collaborations. Some of those include: “Heat in de place” on the Sun Blast Riddim, “Freeloader” on the Avenue Riddim, “On the Low” on the Lip Service Riddim, “Bend Back” on the Lil Tommy Riddim done alongside Salty to name a few.
His brother, Atiba who goes by Xone has been by his side since his rise to stardom.
From writing to singing and a couple music videos later, Preedy is showing that there is no ‘I’ in team, and credits his family and friends for their love, dedication, support and sacrifice for his continued success.
