About Adriana Evans

Neo-soul songstress, Adriana Evans emerged on the scene in 1995 on Dred Scott’s, March 1994’s, Breakin' Combs album. She was one of the earliest artists to step into the flourishing neo-soul scene. Although, Tony Rich Project, D'Angelo, R&B group Groove Theory and former frontwoman Amel Larrieux & Maxwell are identified as mainly the first ones. More artists subsequently came out like Erykah Badu, Eric Benet & many others. Evans grew up with music in her life. She is the daughter of famed jazz vocalist Mary Stallings, who sang with Count Basie orchestra, Dizzy Gillespie and Billy Eckstine to name just a few. It is no wonder that singing and writing came naturally to Adriana.

Her self-titled debut album featured three singles “Reality”, “Love Is All Around” and “Seein' Is Believing” the entire album was solely produced by her trusted music partner/husband and rapper, Dred Scott released under PMP/Loud/RCA Records. Adriana followed up with the releases of Nomadic sophmore album (2004), Kismet compilation album (2005), El Camino third studio album (2007) & Walking with the Night (2010).

Adriana’s songs have appeared on movie soundtracks Hoodlum (1997), Ride (1998) and most notably the Logo tv series Noah’s Arc (2005).
