Activision is an American video game publisher, founded in 1979 by David Crane, Alan Miller, Bob Whitehead and Jim Levy, following their departure from Atari. In 2008, Activision merged with Vivendi Games, forming Activision Blizzard.
In January 2022, Microsoft annouced that it would acquire Activision Blizzard for US$68.7 billion.
