Aren Scantlebury, better known by the pseudonym “Ace Brav”, is the “Next Big Thing” the hip-hop/rap community is beginning to take notice of. A Long Island, N.Y.resident, Ace Brav Has always been “about the music”.

At the age of 16, Ace Brav started taking his talent for rhyming more serious than it had ever been. Inspired by 90’s HipHop, Ace Brav began rhyming over classic HipHop beats, and became involved in understanding what this community truly represented. He started making music in his basement with friends and grew his confidence level and stage presence as he realized that he could actually create good music. Judging by the reaction of audiences who came to his his first early appearances, it was clear that he was connecting, his lyrics delivered just the right punch and his stage presence was profound.

Ace Brav’s musical inspiration runs the gamut from past to present. EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole, and the list goes on and on. Ace Brav brings an attitude to the industry that lets people know that he’s focused and will not retreat. Success is not an option – it is the goal.

Ace Brav recently graudated from SUNY (State University of New York) College at Old Westbury, majoring in Political Science/Economics and Law.
