Abee is a Dutch singer, songwriter, and producer known for her ultramodern, atmospheric R&B sound. Inspired by vocalists like Sabrina Claudio, H.E.R., and Alina Baraz, Abee’s lush voice evokes comparisons to both Sade and Jhené Aiko—accompanied by a vibey mix of alternative R&B and ambient soundscapes. Her songwriting features finely-honed observations on everything from self-exploration to romantic experience, strategically refined in spots to emphasize the instrumental storytelling. After breaking into the music industry as a singer-songwriter, Abee signed with Universal Music Publishing and went on to release a series of successful EDM tracks (supported by Martin Garrix and Tiësto). Since then, she’s been developing her distinctive style, earning millions of Spotify streams along the way.

With the Fall 2022 release of her debut EP, Blossom, Abee showcases her characteristic sparse-yet-expansive, compellingly moody sound with a deft mix of guitar, piano, vocals, and cinematic electronic elements. The EP’s five unique tracks explore the lyrical theme of the artist becoming her own woman. Written primarily by Abee, Blossom features writing and musical contributions from longtime collaborator, Marc Bien, as well as the EP’s London-based producer, Luke Osborne (MOKO, NULA, Kwes, Jodie Abacus, Maeve). In addition to Blossom, Abee is poised to drop her new single “Divine”—a crisply polished, airy lovesong co-produced with Osborne—on all streaming platforms July 22, 2022.
